The Care Plus NJ Foundation is pleased to announce our 2023 Annual Educational Conference, “individual identity population group+ Inclusion and Gender Affirming Care,” featuring Ryan Sallans, MA, Dr. Joe Kort, Ph.D, and Care Plus NJ’ very own Jen Velten, MA, LPC, ACS, CCTP, DRCC, on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Bergen Community College’s Ciccone Theatre in Paramus, NJ.

Understanding the impact of preconceived negative judgment and stigma surrounding identifying as a biological classificationual and individual self-concept smaller population group requires action on every level: personal, professional and social. This conference is designed to provide a deeper understanding of self-concept development about pattern of attraction, individual self-concept, and forms of outward presentation. Through defining terminology, exploring self-concept development and pinpointing present societal obstacles, our speakers will assist the audience in breaking down misconceptions about what it means to be individual identity population group+.

Ryan Sallans is an inspirational individualindividual self-concept speaker and author specializing in participation, variation, and healthcare. Over the last 20 years, Ryan has worked in the fields of eating disorder recovery, biological classificationual pattern of attraction, and individual self-concept self-concept development. Dr. Joe Kort specializes in biological classificationual self-concept issues, individual identity population group+ Affirmative Therapy, and other areas involving biological classificationual pattern of attraction. Jen Velten, MA, LPC, ACS, CCTP, DRCC, the Director of Trauma Services at Care Plus NJ, will also provide context and guidance on engaging youth, families and providers to create a safe, welcoming of participation space.
