Our programs are staffed by experienced professionals who understand the needs of those in crisis. Services are designed to provide support, de-escalation, and stabilization so individuals, children, and families can safely navigate behavioral health emergencies.
MCORT
Mobile Crisis Outreach Response Team
Available 24/7, MCORT is a community-based service that deploys
trained clinicians to respond to adults in Bergen and Passaic Counties
experiencing non-life-threatening behavioral health, substance-
related, or suicidal crises. Teams are dispatched through the 988 Suicide
and Crisis Lifeline and specialize in de-escalating crises, stabilizing
individuals in their community, and linking them to appropriate care.

PESP
Psychiatric Emergency Screening Program
Available 24/7, PESP delivers in-person evaluations and crisis response
for adults in Bergen County experiencing acute psychiatric distress or
behavioral health emergencies. Through mobile outreach, certified
screeners assess individuals where they are in the community, resolve
acute distress, and connect them directly to the most clinically
appropriate services.

Children's Mobile Response & Stabilization Services
Children’s Mobile offers 24/7 rapid response to the needs of children,
youth, and families in crisis in Bergen County. The program works to
keep children safe and stable in their homes, schools, and communities
whenever possible — strengthening family relationships, addressing
immediate stress, and reducing the need for out-of-home placement or
psychiatric hospitalization.

access to New Jersey’s Children’s System of Care, supporting youth up to age 21.

Crisis Negotiation Team
Our Crisis Negotiation Team operates in partnership with local law enforcement in Bergen County. Trained behavioral health professionals are available 24/7 to respond to critical incidents such as hostage situations or barricaded individuals — working to de-escalate situations and ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Deployed by local police departments to provide support as needed.
CRSC
Crisis Receiving & Stabilization Center
The CRSC is a short-term, community-based facility that offers
immediate, voluntary care for adults 18 and older experiencing a
behavioral health or substance use emergency. Open 24/7, it provides an
alternative to emergency rooms — offering de-escalation, medical
assessment, and peer support for a stay of up to 24 hours.
STATUS
Currently under development. Care Plus NJ’s CRSC will open soon.
ARRIVE Together
Co-Response with Local Law Enforcement
A model of proactive community outreach that pairs trained police
officers with behavioral health professionals to respond together to
behavioral health emergencies — ensuring individuals receive
appropriate care while minimizing the risk of escalation.

ARRIVE Together
Pairing officers and clinicians, before crisis escalates.
The ARRIVE Together program is a model of proactive community
outreach that pairs trained police officers with behavioral health
professionals who can respond together to behavioral health
emergencies — ensuring that individuals receive appropriate care
while minimizing the risk of escalation.
Care Plus NJ currently operates ARRIVE Together in the 15
municipalities listed. To request an ARRIVE Together team during a
behavioral health emergency, contact the non-emergency number
for your municipality.
