How do I start The C.L.I.M.B. Program at Care Plus NJ?
The C.L.I.M.B. program offers services to adults and adolescents for drug addiction treatment and co-occurring disorders. You can call us to schedule your first appointment. Care Plus NJ is a non-profit community behavioral health clinic committed to providing access to services to all who need help.
We understand picking up the phone and asking for help is hard. However, when you call The C.L.I.M.B. program at Care Plus NJ, we guide you through exactly how to get help. We pride ourselves on helping you find the services needed for yourself or your loved one. If for any reason we do not answer the phone when you call, know we are helping others and our commitment is to get back to you as soon as possible. Once your appointment is scheduled, you can trust the process has begun and you will come in for your initial assessment.
The initial assessment phase in addiction treatment forms the foundation for the initial treatment plan. It involves a comprehensive evaluation carried out by seasoned professionals in the addiction field. This process addresses the various aspects of the disease and collects data concerning the individual’s substance use history, underlying medical conditions, and overall Behavioral Health.

What is the most common form of treatment for addictions?
Motivational enhancement therapy and behavioral therapy. Motivational enhancement therapy uses various strategies to enhance a person’s readiness to change their behavior and assist them to engage in treatment. Behavioral therapies include: Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and Cognitive behavioral therapy which may be utilized in individual therapy, family therapy sessions as well as various groups for rehabilitation services.

A Behavioral Health professional contributes to addiction treatment by providing specialty perspective through an eclectic menu of behavioral therapies, counseling, and addressing co-occurring mental illnesses through individual, family and group sessions. Their role in the treatment process helps in addressing addiction and Behavioral Health issues comprehensively and simultaneously.
What Treatment Options can I find at the C.L.I.M.B Program?
A broad spectrum of options are available in addiction treatment, ranging from detoxification and withdrawal management to residential or inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient services. These options cater to the individualized needs of each person, offering a range of specialized rehab types and treatment programs.
At Care Plus NJ, all our services are at our outpatient treatment centers, which enable our clients to attend treatment regularly during the day or at night while residing at home.
If at anytime someone needs a higher level of care, our substance use disorder clinicians work with adults and adolescents and their family members to link them to a higher level of care through care coordination until they can return to outpatient care.
What is Ambulatory Withdrawal Management at the C.L.I.M.B.?
As part of The C.L.I.M.B. program continuum of substance use disorder services, Care Plus NJ offers an outpatient detoxification program. This service for opioid treatment is provided at the main site to be a part of seamless access to wrap around services that support opioid use disorder, physical symptoms of withdrawal, and drug cravings.
What are the Intensive Outpatient and Outpatient Programs at the C.L.I.M.B.?
The C.L.I.M.B. program offers outpatient treatment services with flexible options for those seeking help with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Intensive outpatient and outpatient programs are designed to support individuals and families that have been impacted by substance use and addiction. Outpatient rehab will be designed based on the individualized treatment plan created during the initial assessment.
This program is designed to support people struggling with addiction and any co-occurring disorders who need to continue working during the day or for those who have other daytime obligations or responsibilities that would otherwise preclude them from participating in traditional treatment settings.
I Work, is there Flexible Scheduling at the C.L.I.M.B.?
Our Intensive Outpatient Groups are conducted four times weekly, featuring flexible scheduling throughout the day. Additionally, our Outpatient Groups are available twice a week. At Care Plus NJ, our commitment is to identify the optimal fit for your needs and align your schedule accordingly. Our goal is to ensure that your pursuit of success in overcoming substance abuse is seamlessly integrated into your life, minimizing stress. To cater to your time constraints, we provide a range of options. Furthermore, ongoing treatment may be complemented by family therapy and/or individual sessions, guided by clinical recommendations.
I Have Behavioral Health and Addiction Issues, Can I Still go to the C.L.I.M.B.?
Yes. We treat co-occurring disorders.
Comprehensive addiction treatment involves addressing co-occurring disorders (also known as dual diagnosis). A dual diagnosis refers to an individual having both a Behavioral Health disorder and a substance use disorder. Frequently co-occurring disorders in individuals with substance use disorders encompass:

Yes.
Comprehensive addiction treatment heavily relies on vital components like Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and other medical interventions. MAT and counseling is the gold standard to assist patients in addressing their drug abuse and remaining in treatment, in addition, these medications are offered to assist individuals by mitigating cravings and minimizing the likelihood of relapse.
For opioid addiction, pharmacological agents such as:

Our aftercare services are designed to provide continuous support and resources to our treatment community.
The alumni community at Care Plus NJ plays an important role in maintaining sobriety. By creating a sense of community and feel accepteding, we help our alumni stay connected to a supportive network of peers who have shared similar experiences helping them to maintain their sobriety and navigate the challenges of life post-treatment.
Our alumni program is more than just a support system; it’s a family that continues to inspire and uplift its members, long after they have completed their treatment program.
What is Case Management and Peer Recovery at the C.L.I.M.B.?
Our Case Managers and Peer Recovery Specialists collaborate with others in the community to help design the specifics as part of the treatment goals to ensure each individual has access to the right services. We support our medical, spiritual, psychological and recovery community. We make it a priority to help our clients get access to everything needed to address recovery including doctors, dentists, and social fellowships such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous as well as SMART Recovery.
Case Management services in addiction treatment include:

Care Plus NJ psychiatrists and prescribers work with program staff as a collaborative team to make sure the best overall care is provided. Addiction treatment and recovery services are offered with specialty expertise following individual evaluations, including adult, senior, and adolescent psychiatry.
Is There a Gambling Disorder Program?
Yes. The C.L.I.M.B. has a Gambling Disorder Program that is designed to assist individuals in their journey towards recovery from problem gambling. Tailored to meet the unique needs of each participant, our program offers a structured yet flexible approach, encompassing evidence-based therapies, counseling, and psychoeducation. Through individual and group sessions, participants gain essential tools to manage triggers, understand the underlying causes of their gambling behaviors, and develop healthier coping strategies. Our team of experienced and empathetic professionals provides a safe and non-judgmental environment, fostering self-awareness and resilience, all with the goal of helping individuals regain control over their lives and break free from the cycle of addiction.
Can the C.L.I.M.B. Help If I Lost a Loved One To Addiction?
Yes. The C.L.I.M.B. offers grief and loss workshops.
Drug addiction can have a person’s physical health and emotional health compromised. Although a person can use abuse alcohol or drugs for many years, many find a new life without substance use disorders. For those not so fortunate, they may lose their life to addiction from direct drug use or from a variety of health issues or behaviors while under the influence.
THE CLIMB program at Care Plus NJ offers grief and loss counseling as well as workshops for loved ones who have lost someone due to addictive disorders. Chronic diseases, chronic illness is often one of the negative consequences of problematic substance use. At Care Plus NJ, we understand that most who suffer from drug addiction and/or Behavioral Health conditions continue to use regardless of the withdrawal symptoms, and loss of important people. Facing the lost of a loved is always difficult, and our grief counseling and workshops are designed to help the ones left behind.
What is the Family Support Center?
Watching someone you love suffer is heartbreaking, and you do not need to go through it alone. The CLIMB program at Care Plus NJ uses an evidence-based, client-focused approach to offer healing and support for families that have been impacted by addiction. Our team can also help to navigate your loved one into recovery and treatment when they are ready.
The CLIMB program at Care Plus NJ, Family Support Center (FSC) is dedicated to enhancing the availability of services for individuals grappling with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Our aim is to address the pressing need for treatment and to mitigate the risk of opioid overdose fatalities by offering a comprehensive array of prevention, treatment, and recovery support initiatives. Understanding the profound impact of family in the journey towards recovery, the FSC is committed to empowering families with the necessary tools, skills, and resources to effectively support their loved ones.
Our program is built on the foundation of the Community Reinforcement Approach and Family Training (CRAFT), a strategy that acknowledges the central role of family in the recovery process.
