Giesel Ussery, MAS, CDE, serves as the Vice President of Crisis and Community Services and Chief Engagement and Training Officer at Care Plus NJ. She is a leader with more than 25 years of progressive experience in behavioral health, community services, workforce development, and organizational leadership.
In her current role, Giesel provides strategic oversight for community-based programs and a hospital-based care coordination team, ensuring high-quality service delivery, operational excellence, and strong cross-system collaboration. She also leads the organization’s Engagement and Training Committee, advancing initiatives that support staff development, professional learning, employee engagement, and organizational culture.
Giesel holds a Master of Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, and is a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE). As a bilingual English/Spanish leader, she is passionate about building strong teams, fostering meaningful engagement, and creating lasting positive change in the communities she serves.
