Mary Perehinec-Germano serves as the Controller for Care Plus New Jersey and its affiliates. She joined the agency in 2022, and has over 15 years of progessive nonprofit accounting and financial management experience. She oversees the financial operations of the agency to ensure accuracy, compliance, and long-term financial stability. Deeply dedicated to the role of Controller, she manages day-to-day accounting functions such as general ledger activity, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. She also plays a key role in preparing for audits, maintaining internal controls, monitoring grant and program funding, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and government regulations. In addition, she provides financial analysis to executive leadership, helping them make informed decisions that support Care Plus’s strategic plan. Her passion for nonprofit finance extends beyond managing numbers—she is driven by the opportunity to strengthen organizational operations, improve processes, and contribute to the agency’s mission. Through a proactive, hands-on approach and strong attention to detail, she strives to create financial stability and support. Mary holds a Master’s Degree from Montclair State University.
