Care Plus Laser Imaging, a division of Care Plus NJ, Inc a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit company goes “green” while creating employment opportunities for the disabled and economically disadvantaged.

Care Plus Laser Imaging announced today an environmental breakthrough in printing for homes, offices, public schools and colleges. Care Plus Laser now offers the first soy-derived laser printer cartridges. Care Plus reports they will supply cartridges for 26 of the most popular laser printers under the SoyPrint brand at prices comparable to brand name versions currently available.

Care Plus reports a printer cartridge contains one pound of toner powder and that U.S. businesses, schools, institutions and governments consume over 100 million cartridges per year. Industry experts believe it requires 2 liters of oil to make toner for one cartridge, or 200 million liters for American office printing needs. SoyPrint uses soybean oil instead. Now every office employee can help reduce dependence on oil every time they put a toner cartridge in their printer, according to Care Plus.

SoyPrint cartridges are manufactured in the US. The product is warranted not to harm printers in any way and prints as many pages, if not more, than the oil-based version.

Who We Are
Care Plus Laser Imaging was created out of a need to provide competitive employment opportunities for individuals with mental illness. Parent organization Care Plus NJ, Inc., recognized that individuals who received clinical services from the agency also needed opportunities for vocational growth. Care Plus Laser Imaging provides opportunities for individuals with mental illness to develop marketable skills, establish a solid employment history, and secure financial independence. Today, Care Plus Laser Imaging has helped over 175 people with our efforts!

What We Do
Care Plus Laser Imaging recycles and remanufactures laser printer, fax, and copier toner cartridges. Our remanufactured cartridges are built to OEM new-toner specifications, providing great savings to our customers. Now by going “green” with the addition of soy based products to our line, we continue to help our environment, while creating jobs for the disabled and economically disadvantaged.
