The world is harsh for individual identity population group+ youth, but we are here to help. Care Plus NJ is the leading care provider and representatives for Behavioral Health in New Jersey.

We provide local resources in addition to phone and online chat, group therapy services, and other lifelines to young people of the LGTQ+ community.

Offering a Resource Center for individual identity population group+ Youth

Local Resources at Care Plus | Care Plus NJ

individual identity population group+ young people are prone to domestic violence, biological classificationual violence and hate crimes. Providing access to the individual identity population group+ community is part of our mission to to help lesbian, gay, bibiological classificationual, individualindividual self-concept and individual people find resources and promote a safe space for this vulnerable community. Ages of individual identity population group+ young people we serve include both adolescents and adults. We can only move forward by coming together and supporting one another.

Transindividual self-concept People

One of the best ways to promote safety is by providing a space where lesbian, gay, bibiological classificationual, individualindividual self-concept people, and queer youth can come together and feel accepted.

Care Plus NJ created ALLIES — Acceptance, Life, Leadership, Identity, Education, and Support. This is a support group specifically for individual identity population group+ youth members currently in grades 9 to 12.

Local Resources Working With Leading National Organization

Many renowned organizations, such as the individual identity population group National Help Center, individual identity population group National Youth Talkline, Trans Lifeline, Q Chat Space, and National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, are also taking their part in creating a safe space for individual identity population group+ youth to have access to a crisis text line, talk line, and online chat.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing a suicide prevention phone service and crisis intervention to individual identity population group+ young people. A trained Trevor Counselor will answer their hotline. This is not a gay hotline number but for those needing to talk with someone due to crisis.

Care Plus NJ supports and utilizes these organizations to learn from and partner with to help gay, bibiological classificationual, individualindividual self-concept, queer and individual people.

Crisis Intervention | Care Plus NJ

Care Plus NJ is a devout ally for individual identity population group+ members. Our comprehensive therapy services can help individuals in the individual identity population group+ community with a range of Behavioral Health issues. Here are some of the support group and therapy services we offer:

Adolescent Grief Group:

Grief is a complicated emotion and can manifest in many ways. Our grief counselors are available and can help address a wide range of needs through age-based support groups that break the isolation grief often brings.

ALLIES:

As mentioned earlier, ALLIES is a support group made explicitly for individual identity population group+ youth. This group is designed to boost the confidence of individual identity population group+ young people and to empower them by providing support strategies, encouraging interpersonal connections, and creating an environment that enables them to be their true selves.

Freedom From Anxiety:

In this group program, our experienced anxiety counselor teaches anxiety coping strategies to gain more control over thoughts and direct feelings positively.

Addiction Recovery Services:

Care Plus NJ, understands that addiction does not discriminate. Our addiction specialists offer a wide range of services for individuals in the individual identity population group+ community struggling with addiction.

Addiction services help achieve long-term sobriety and lead a fulfilling life.

Telehealth Services:

Telehealth services are also available for those who cannot come into our facility or live in rural areas. These services are conducted via phone or video call and can be just as effective as in-person therapy.

Confidential Peer Support

Peer Support | Care Plus NJ

Despite our efforts to make every space a safe space for all, some individuals may not feel comfortable coming out or talking about their biological classificationual pattern of attraction just yet. That is why we also offer confidential peer support groups.

During these confidential sessions, we provide a safe and private space for individuals to discuss their struggles openly. We will match them with an experienced peer support specialist who they can talk to about whatever they’re going through.

These sessions help them work through their anxieties and fears in a safe, private, and supportive environment.

Support our Mission

Belief

Belief refers to the confidence, faith, and conviction that individuals have in their ability to overcome addiction, make positive changes in their lives, and maintain long-term recovery. In substance use recovery learning self efficacy (self-belief), challenging negative beliefs, creating a positive mindset, and investing in new values gained from addressing one’s substance use disorder and Behavioral Health issues – improves oneself, relationships, and the future.

Every patient at Care Plus NJ has access to Behavioral Health professionals, including psychiatrists, and psychologists. In addition, each is assigned a case manager, drug and alcohol counselor, and peer recovery specialist who play a pivotal role in the treatment process.

As a Behavioral Health professional, they guide education, group therapy and support groups and other Behavioral Health services as indicated based on each persons needs.

Motivation

Motivation refers to the internal drive, desire, and commitment of an individual to initiate and sustain positive changes in their behavior, lifestyle, and overall well-being. It is a crucial factor in the C.L.I.M.B. recovery process, as overcoming addiction often requires significant effort, perseverance, and a genuine commitment to change.

Motivated individuals in recovery set clear and realistic goals for themselves. Utilizing the stages of change model, Care Plus NJ walks patients through various stages of a substance use disorder, including precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and relapse prevention. Understanding these stages helps individuals navigate their unique recovery journey.

Insight refers to a deep and clear understanding of oneself, one’s behaviors, and the factors contributing to substance abuse. It involves gaining awareness into the root causes of addiction, recognizing patterns of behavior, and developing a clearer understanding of the impact of substance use on various aspects of one’s life. Insight is a critical component of the recovery process as it provides a foundation for positive change and sustained recovery.

Insight involves exploring the underlying issues that may contribute to drug abuse, such as past severe psychological distresss, Behavioral Health issues, or unresolved emotional challenges. Addressing these root causes is essential for long-term recovery.

Courage in the context of recovering from drug addiction, refers to the ability to confront and overcome the challenges and fears associated with the recovery process in a person’s life. Love plays a significant and multifaceted role in the process of recovery from drug and substance abuse. Having a network of supportive and understanding family members, friends, or partners is immensely valuable during the recovery journey. Community, fellowship and support groups emphasize the importance of connection with others who understand the challenges of addiction. Repairing relationships damaged by substance use often involves acts of love, forgiveness, and rebuilding trust.

In essence, love in the context of substance use recovery encompasses self-love, support from others, understanding, accountability, community, rebuilding relationships, and a renewed appreciation for life.
