Gala Hero | Care Plus NJ||

The Care Plus NJ Foundation will honor Ron Weaver, owner of ACCREDITED LOCK SUPPLY and longtime supporter of Care Plus NJ, at the 18th Annual Courage Awards Gala on Wednesday Junes 8th at the Venetian in Garfield, NJ.

Weaver is a lifelong New Jersey resident and Viet Nam Veteran who served our country in Viet Nam from June of 1968 to June of 1969. He is a lifelong member of the Viet Nam Veterans Association and served as a squad leader Sergeant in the 199th Light Infantry Brigade.

After being discharged from the Army, Weaver started his own locksmith service company. In 1974 he founded what is today ACCREDITED LOCK SUPPLY in his home town of Secaucus. A family business where his wife Pam and children work along with him on a daily basis, ACCREDITED has become the largest single-location locksmith supply distributor in the United States.

“We are beyond grateful for the amount of support that Ron has shown the Foundation over the years,” remarked Michael Fatigati, Chairman of the Care Plus NJ Foundation Board of Trustees. “He is a generous man who goes above and beyond to give back. He clearly cares about the community.”

Ron was introduced to the Care Plus NJ family by his good friend and fellow Viet Nam Veteran Dr. Henry Velez. In an effort to raise funds the idea of an annual golf outing was presented. Weaver took the lead with Dominick Gargano.

“Ron has been instrumental to the success of the annual Golfer’s Give Back charity golf outing,” continued Fatigati. “Even so, we have been blown away by his contributions to this year’s Gala. Not only is ACCREDITED a premium sponsor of the event, but Ron has also locked in serious attendance for the event with over 50 guests coming in his honor.”

The Courage Awards Gala includes a cocktail hour, dinner, live and silent auctions, a 50/50 raffle and more. Attendees are expected from across the state, including local community partners, state representatives and supporters from the Northern New Jersey business community. Individual tickets are available at $175 each, with full tables of 10 offered for $1,500.

The Care Plus NJ Foundation is currently welcoming dinner guests, sponsors, and auction donations. For more information call 201-986-5070.
