From March 2nd – 8th The i’Mpossible Project will team up with Care Plus NJ, Inc. (“Care Plus NJ”) in a social media campaign to promote the book The i’Mpossible Project: Reengaging With Life, Creating a New You while raising funds for the Care Plus Foundation, Inc. (“Care Plus NJ Foundation”).

The book, which was published in January 2016, is a collection of stories written by 50 authors that has been assembled by Josh Rivedal, author, founder, and Executive Director of The i’Mpossible Project. In his efforts to inspire other writers and gather their stories, Rivedal has successfully accumulated more than 200 tales of trials and triumphs. It is expected that this book will be the first in a series.

This compilation explores a number of topics that relate to overcoming obstacles, embracing new possibilities and discovering personal power. A number of the stories are relevant to Behavioral Health and suicide prevention, which makes the Care Plus NJ Foundation an appropriate charity for the campaign.

Care Plus NJ is a non-profit community-based Behavioral Health agency that serves individuals and families in northern New Jersey. There is an extensive list of programs and services that the organization provides, encompassing everything from crisis intervention to intensive outpatient programs, from preventative services to school-based programs, and more.

“The work of Care Plus NJ is so important to me,” Rivedal explained in a personal statement. “I lost my dad to suicide due to untreated depression, and I deal with depression on a daily basis.”

Two of the story authors from the first The i’Mpossible Project book have a history or working with Care Plus NJ, and have openly shared their gratitude for all that the organization does. When Rivedal asked them to choose a charity for the social media campaign, they did not hesitate to recommend the Care Plus NJ Foundation.

The Care Plus NJ foundation does fundraising year round, and all of the proceeds go directly into assisting individuals and families who receive Care Plus NJ service and otherwise might not be able to afford the help that they need. Most of the funds go into medication and housing assistance, scholarships for continuing education, outreach programs, public support activities and community education.

“Let’s work together to help Care Plus NJ,” Rivedal concluded in his statement.

During the social media campaign, Care Plus NJ will be posting on their Facebook to encourage their audience to buy a copy of The i’Mpossible Project: Reengaging With Life, Creating a New You. From March 2nd – March 8th, The i’Mpossible Project will donate 20% of book sales to Care Plus NJ for every book purchased. All you have to do is send in a proof of purchase—a scanned receipt, a screenshot, a selfie with your receipt – to careplusnjimpossible@gmail.com.
