Intercept®

Intercept®, a program of Youth Villages, is a comprehensive evidence-based intensive in-home program model designed to flexibly address a wide range of complex child and family challenges. It has been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and time spent in care. Services through Intercept® are tailored to meet the needs and goals of the identified child and all members of the family, navigating concerns in the neighborhood, school, extended family, peer group and community.

Families eligible for this program need to have an active and open case with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P).

Triple P Positive Parenting Program®

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® is an evidence-based group that is designed to give parents the skills they need to raise confident, healthy children/teenagers and to build stronger family relationships. Triple P doesn’t tell people how to parent. Rather, it gives parents simple and practical strategies they can adopt to suit their own values, beliefs and needs. Similarly, parents who use positive parenting skills feel more confident and competent about managing day-to-day family life. They are also less stressed, less depressed and have less conflict with their partners over parenting issues.

Families First

Families First is Bergen County’s Family Preservation Services Program. It provides goal-oriented services to reduce the risk of out-of-home placement for children with DCP&P involvement.

Our goal is to prevent out-of-home placement by providing short-term, intensive in-home family education and crisis intervention to families with children at risk of out-of-home placement, or who are being reunified from out-of-home placement.
