Distinguishing OCD from Other Behaviors: Understanding Diagnosis and Treatment

The two hour-long presentation begins with an overview of symptoms required for a diagnosis of OCD, according to the DSM-5 and key questions to ask in order to differentiate between OCD and similar behaviors. Participants will learn the fundamentals of exposure techniques and response prevention techniques along with reviewing case examples to bolster learning. Finally, the presentation concludes with review of OCD symptom severity that may require referrals to experts.
