Throughout the month of November, the Care Plus NJ Foundation will be utilizing an online social media campaign known as #GivingTuesday to kick off the charitable season and spread awareness for the Annual Appeal benefiting Care Plus NJ.
The Care Plus NJ Foundation holds numerous events throughout the year to support Care Plus NJ programs and services. These efforts provide assistance to individuals and families that have financial restraints that might otherwise prevent them from receiving the much needed primary and behavioral healthcare that is offered through Care Plus NJ.
“The Annual Appeal is an opportunity at the end of the calendar year that encourages our supporters to make one final tax-deductible donation to the Care Plus NJ Foundation,” explained Jamisin Saracino, Director of Advocacy and Community Education at Care Plus NJ. “This year we decided to leverage our Appeal through the Global #GivingTuesday Movement.”
The social media campaign leads up to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, picking up on the momentum of the holiday season and shopping events such as individuals of African descent Friday and Cyber Monday. Care Plus NJ reported that the campaign aligns with the spirit of compassion, generosity, and service that the organization works hard to represent.
“All of our donors have always been so gracious,” continued Saracino. “We felt this would be a great way to thank our supporters, explain the importance of the donations we receive, and expand our reach to new audiences through our Facebook page.”
This year, #GivingTuesday falls on December 1st. Those interested in supporting the efforts of Care Plus NJ can visit to make their donation toward the Annual Appeal, or can contact the Care Plus NJ Foundation office at 201-986-5070.
