All the Youth Grieve: Complicated, Prolonged and Healing




Grief is a common human experience and response to loss of loved ones and ways of life. Grief by its very nature contains components of thoughts, behaviors, emotions and physiological changes. We will look at acute grief, complicated grief and the new DSM 5 TR diagnoses of Prolonged Grief Disorder. We will learn how to integrate grief and loss and adapt to loss. We will discuss adaptation to changes, including profound changes from a resiliency framework.
