PARAMUS, NJ – The Care Plus Foundation, Inc. (“the Foundation”) will be holding its fifth annual “Golfers Give Back” charitable Golf Outing on Monday, September 26, 2016, at White Beeches Country Club in Haworth, NJ.
“Golfers Give Back” is the second biggest fundraiser of the year for the organization, bringing in nearly $85,000 in 2015. Every dollar raised by the Foundation goes directly to supporting clients of Care Plus NJ (“CarePlus”) by providing educational scholarships, housing and medication assistance, and increasing access to services that many individuals and families might not otherwise be able to afford.
“The outing was created as means to help the Foundation raise funds and spread awareness of the daily challenges of those living with severe mental illness,” explained Caitlyn Yerves, Advocacy Specialist at CarePlus NJ. “The generosity of our supporters allows for us to continue provide much needed assistance to those in need, while also promoting advocacy and education in the community.”
The Foundation has announced that the title sponsor of the event is Inserra Supermarkets, and already has four Gold premium sponsors: Accredited Lock Supply, Columbia Bank, the Fatigati Family, and Roy W. Walters & Associates. Robert Bodnar, CFO at CarePlus, and Michael Fatigati, Chair of the CarePlus Foundation Board of Trustees, will be co-chairing the event.
After holding the event for two consecutive years at Edgewood Country Club, “Golfers Give Back” will be returning to White Beeches. The 2016 Golf Committee has noted that this change in venues was made with past supporters and participants in mind.
“We are so grateful for those who attend and are involved with organizing our fundraising events,” Yerves continued. “It is our goal to honor their generosity by creating a new and exciting experience every year.”
The day includes a buffet breakfast before the shotgun start, an 18 hole event, golf cart access, and a barbecue lunch. The event continues into the evening with a cocktail party, dinner, awards, a silent auction, a tricky tray and a 50/50 raffle.
The event offers a variety of sponsorship opportunities for every level of support. In addition to sponsorship, individuals can participate by bringing a foursome, joining another foursome, attending the cocktail party and dinner, or purchasing 50/50 tickets.
The Foundation is also accepting general donations as well as items for the silent auction and goodie bags.Any requests for sponsorship or questions about the event should be directed to the Foundation office at 201-986-5070.
