Care Plus NJ President and CEO Brigitte Johnson, Esq. has been named to the 2026 NJBIZ Health Care Power List, which recognizes New Jersey’s most influential leaders shaping the future of health care across the state.
Johnson has led Care Plus NJ for more than 25 years, joining the organization in 1998 and helping build it into one of northern New Jersey’s most comprehensive behavioral health providers. Today, Care Plus NJ serves nearly 12,000 people annually across 11 counties, operating as one of New Jersey’s first Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), a federally recognized model that integrates behavioral health, substance use treatment, and primary care services under a single, accountable structure.
Her leadership has been central to expanding that model, ensuring care remains available to all individuals and families regardless of diagnosis or insurance status, and positioning Care Plus NJ as a trusted voice on behavioral health policy and integrated care.
